Was there something special about the “Enterprise Edition” or was this just the way the product was described back then?
The Enterprise version was a floating license, while a Workstation license was node-locked. http://twgapp01.ubm-us.net/news/984/four_new_softimagexsi_.php

P.S. I would think the initial 3Democracy, some years later, qualified even better as a “once-in-a-lifetime” promotion. 😉
