Coloring crowds – using a custom ICE attribute for the shirt color

I struggled with this for awhile–it wasn’t easy to get my custom ShirtColor attribute to show up in the Color Attribute shader.

  1. If the materials on the mesh are in clusters I have found that one has access to all attributes when the render tree is on the default material. One can then select the attribute desired and copy the node into the cluster material. The attribute label will disappear but will still pull it from the ice tree. No need to make the temporary ice tree.
