Back in the old Softimage head offices on St Laurent, Manny had an original, circa-1980 ATARI-2600 on his desk. Notice of the Softimage “iconography” along the shelf above the Atari unit.
The Atari 2600 was build on a cost-reduced version of the Mos Chipset 6502, known as the 6507. It is credited as one of the greatest video console of all time.

We didn’t intro the 4 switch 2600 until mid-late ’80 – still with the 2k (2716) Combat.
Thanks for the info. The picture was actually from 2004 🙂 but we weren’t 100% sure of when that Atari was introduced
