This video shows you how to assign a keyboard shortcut to a custom script command.
One thing I forgot to mention was the View in Browser feature: that’s a good way to search for commands and shortcuts, because it displays the complete keyboard mapping in a single html page.
The version I uploaded on screencast looks sharper.
Why is it when I try to assign ALT-R to a custom script, instead a import model loader appears, Softimage locks up, temporarily then finally the script loads ?
One more thing, how come keyboard mapping won’t automatically remove scripts/add-ons that are uninstalled ?
Maybe ALT+R is already assigned to some other command? I don’t have this problem in 2013 SP1.
I tried other keyboard combinations, and it still loads the ‘import model’ loader. It could be the add-on that I’m trying to assign the keyboard short-cut too, I’ll have to look into that possibility as well, although it doesn’t make sense how the add-on would effect the keyboard short-cut.
I tried CTRL-R, and a few other combinations. The ‘import model’ loader pops up when I try to use that keyboard short-cut on only one add-on, it could be the add-on, hmm.
