Troubleshooting 101: Startup Crashes

Here’s the basic recipe for troubleshooting a startup crash:

  • Run runonce.bat
  • Reset your preferences
  • Test the display driver
  • Test whether xsibatch can run
  • Investigate with Process Monitor
